Update on wedding plans

Hi all!

I did promise to keep up the blogging once we got back but have been rather slack on keeping that promise, so I thought it was way past time to write a new post.

We did arrive back safely home in the middle of January and time has certainly flown past since then. We managed to spend some quality time with Phil's mate, Rick, before he set off for some exciting adventures in South America. Apart from that, it has been back into the swing of school life.

Apart from the routines of everyday life we have been making progress on the wedding front. Several people have asked for a photo of the engagement ring, so that accompanies this post. Most importantly though, we have set a date and booked a venue. For those travelling and living afare we hope that if you are planning a trip back home it might happen around this time as we would love to have your company on our special day. Thankyou to all those people who have sent their love and best wishes since we announced our engagement in December.

To fit in with school holidays, we have chosen Sunday the 5th of October as our date. This is the Sunday of the long weekend in October (for most states) and is the middle weekend of the South Australian school holidays.

We have booked the Adelaide Convention Centre for our ceremony and reception venue (See picture).

We are also excited to announce that our bridal party is now confirmed and is made up of Filomena, Lucy, Anna, Matt, Rick and Ben. We are extremely grateful that they are so excited to be a part of our bridal party.

The planning shall continue with the April holidays marked for the exciting parts such as dress and cake shopping. :o)

We were glad to hear from so many of you that you enjoyed following our blog whilst we were overseas. We wish that we could see many of you more often than we do, but with so much distance between many of us we will try to keep you up to date on our happenings via the blog.

I will post a hit later this week on the adventures of our past weekend when Phil brings some photos home to add.
